Community Outreach Department Internship
Levtran Enterprises—the parent company of Downtown Locker Room, DTLR, and The Athletic Warehouse—is one of the fastest growing urban retailers with over 70 locations in the Mid Atlantic and Mid West area and is seeking a candidate for a paid Community Outreach Internship. The successful candidate will gain an overview of the company, business structure, key operating principles, and training.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Be an integral part of the Marketing & Community Outreach teams by being involved in numerous departmental functions and events; offering input and recommendations on various opportunities; completing specific assignments;
- Assist with outreach programs inline with the department mission and company goals.
- Assist with current company initiated programs
- Represent the company at various public speaking and community engagements.
- Solicit ideas from regional staff regarding projects in their respective areas.
- Evaluate outreach opportunities for feasibility and alignment with company goals.
- Coordinate and Follow-up of company resources dedicated to company sponsored events.
- Follow-up on leads to perspective projects.
- Assist with organization and administrative paperwork (filing, typing and general office work).
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal Candidate should possess:
- Graduate or Undergraduate student of Junior or Senior standing pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Humanics from an Accredited Institution.
- Ability to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week during school
- Reliable transportation is a must
- A self-starter requiring little supervision and able to work independently
- Must be a team player
- Be prepared to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the internet, MS Word, Excel required
- Power Point preferred
- Must receive college credit for the internship
